Bouncing 4 Fun & York Soft Play Hire

Terms & Conditions

Any persons/organisation hiring our inflatables are responsible/liable for any damage or injuries occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use. These guidelines are for the safety of all persons using the inflatable, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are adhered to.

For your information, safety and enjoyment, please ensure these conditions are followed:

  1. Children’s bouncy castles/slides have an age limit. Please ensure that no one over the age limit uses the bouncy castle/slide especially adults. This is due to safety and manufacturing reasons.
  2. A responsible adult over the age of 18 years must supervise the inflatable and persons using it at all times whilst the inflatable is in use. The inflatable should be switched off when not in use.
  3. Please do not allow anyone on the inflatable while inflating/deflating.
  4. Users are not allowed to climb, sit or hang on the inflatable walls or beams, this is very dangerous and must not be allowed.
  5. Do not allow users to bounce on the front safety step. The safety step is to assist users in getting on/off safely.
  6. Ensure the inflatable is not overcrowded. If users are colliding with each other then it is too crowded.
  7. Limit the numbers on the inflatable depending on height and size of persons using it. Try to avoid small and large children from using the inflatable at the same time. A guide for recommended number of persons per unit can be seen on the daily check sheet.
  8. Users must be refrained from pushing, colliding and fighting whilst using the inflatable.
  9. No summersaults, back flips, bouncing off the walls or any other dangerous activity whilst using the inflatable.
  10. No food or drinks to be consumed whilst on the inflatable to avoid both mess and possible choking.
  11. All shoes, badges and jewellery must be removed. We also recommend glasses be removed where possible.
  12. No face paints, party poppers, coloured streamers or silly string as these make a terrible mess and can also stain the inflatable. A fee will be incurred if there is damage or staining to the inflatable.
  13. No smoking, fires or BBQs to be used near the inflatable.
  14. No pets to be allowed on the inflatable.
  15. It is advisable to ensure that no one with any history of back or neck problems use the inflatable.
  16. In the event of heavy rain, the inflatable must be switched off for safety reasons. When ready to re-use switch back on and towel dry any remaining wetness before allowing users back on. If the inflatable bed and safety mats get wet they can become slippery. The customer/hirer must ensure they are dry at all times whilst in use.
  17. No person under the influence of alcohol and/or prescribed and/or unprescribed drugs and/or any other intoxicating substance will use the equipment.
  18. Inflatable devices must not be used in adverse weather conditions i.e. snow/storms/thunderstorms and when the wind or gusts are in excess of the maximum safe wind speed. The industry recommends a maximum wind speed of force 5 on the Beaufort scale of 30-38 kph (19-24 mph). Force 5 is a fresh breeze when small trees in leaf begin to sway, whereas force 6 is a strong breeze when large branches are in motion, whistling can be heard in telephone lines and umbrellas can only be handled with difficulty. Using a bouncy castle or inflatable with wind speeds or gusts of wind that exceeds 24mph is extremely dangerous and must be switched off until the wind or gusts have dropped to the recommended safe wind speed.
  19. Inflatable devices must be anchored down at all times, regular checks must be made by the person operating the inflatable to ensure they remain secure.
  20. If any person/persons sustain any injuries whilst using this equipment it must be reported to us immediately, giving details of names, addresses, ages and injuries sustained of the person/persons involved.
